Most of the studies relate to the use of chemotherapy and radiation. These are areas that have been studied extensively WITHOUT determining appropriate doses. We have standards of care BUT they are NOT the final word.
Lately researchers have turned to examining quality of life issues (QOL). This development is definitely due to the actions of activist/advocates.
