Comments from Eleanor A.

I am writing to thank Ann Fonfa and the Annie Appleseed Project for the opportunity for my husband and I to attend the 2009 CAM conference in Florida. I am an almost 2 year survivor of Stage IV Inflammatory Breast Cancer.

This is a particularly aggressive form of Breast Cancer. When diagnosed I was told to expect about 2 years to live. In just a few weeks (June 8th) I will reach that 2 year mark. I am not only alive but thriving. I am competing in two sports (racquetball and kayak water polo) at a level HIGHER than before my diagnosis.

l am telling you this because the information and support that Ann and the Annie Appleseed Project have provided to me has been instrumental in me being a 'mysterious' patient....one who blows away the statistics by surviving and thriving. I know and recognize that since the cancer was so advanced when I was diagnosed that it eventually will find a way to grow again ---- but being able to attend the conference and make eye to eye, in-person contact with so many wonderful healers, physicians and providers --- not to mention network with others -- most definitely has helped and will continue to help me continue to beat the odds.

Remember we are NOT Doctors and have NO medical training.
