Ihave just attended the 2nd Annual conference on Complementary and Alternative Cancer Treatments sponsored by the Annie Appleseed Project. Here are some of my comments:
First of all, let me say hats off to Annie, and her staff for a fabulous job.
Program Content:
Exceptional. It was so great to have clinical-based proof of the efficacy of complementary and alternative treatments. I have been a student of holistic health and Mind, Body, Spirit healing for years, but it was based on my intuition and logic. Now we have scientific proof!
It was presented in a way that even I, as a non-medical practitioner, could understand the terrific results.
I learned of locations around the world and what they specialize in, their relative costs, upcoming new procedures as a result of research, and ways to keep your hair during treatment.
I met people who healed themselves of several kinds of cancer without chemo and radiation. I learned the importance of nutrition and eliminating some foods from the diet, compounded supplements specifically focused on treating cancer, exercise and energy work as it aids in prevention and accelerates the body healing itself, Bach flower remedies that work with emotional support, oils that fight the cancer cells, and more.
The volunteers were awesome. It was obvious how hard they worked, and that it was a labor of love.
Presenters were from all fields, which I appreciated. We had M.D.s, Ph.D.s, N.D., I think a D.O., D.C., nurses and massage therapists, and lay people. (Perhaps even more?)
Organization:
The conference was organized, started on time and was professionally done. The CDs from the conference were available immediately upon completion.
Food:
I can say that it was quite wonderful. It was organic when possible, and a nice selection for those vegans and carnivores. The presentation of the food made it taste even better. We had organic tea, honey, fresh fruit and other goodies. Normally at a conference you don't get such great, fresh food. Thank you for that!
Exhbits and Sponsors:
It was good to see companies supporting this program, and trying to educate people about alternatives that are currently available. I appreciate the free samples in the registration bags, and I will definitely support them. I especially liked my Whole Foods recyclable bag.
Cost:
It was so reasonable, it was amazing. That is why I decided to go.
Location:
Nice hotel. I understand that they are going green on cleaning soon, so it should be healthier. West Palm Beach is a nice place. Might be nice to have it in Central Florida next year, if possible.
