Nausea/Vomiting: Acupressure Wristbands

From Traditional Chinese Medicine World:

"An article published in Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey revealed that acupressure wristbands can prevent the nausea and vomiting associated with anesthesia used during Cesaerian deliveries.

Nearly twice as many control patients who received a placebo had nausea or vominting within 14 hours after delivery than those using wristbands.

According to the study "Acupressure seems to be an effective non-pharmacologic means of preventing nausea and vomiting during and after Cesaerian delivery performed with spinal anesthesia.

It is a simple, economical measure with no major side effects." Acupressure wristbands have also been found through clinical testing to be effective in other conditions that produce nausea such as anesthesia, chemotherapy, morning sickness, and motion sickness.
