This is a poem entitled That Dance by Wanna Wright.
Never learned that dance.........................................
you know the one I mean....................................
didn't have the time..................................................
didn't have the
chance...............................................
at least that's the way it seemed............................
before I began the breast cancer climb......................
I'd learn it if I made it through the chemo.....................
then too sick and tired to care....................................
or maybe after the radiation
first consumed with living - when then I
dared............. ...................by then the dance was seen no where..................................
maybe I'll learn it to celebarate breast cancer eradication.
Wanna is a 25 year cervical cancer survivor and a 20 year breast cancer survivor. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Breast Cancer Fund and the Women's Cancer Resource Center.
Ann Fonfa met her at Summit on Clinical Trials III.
