I had not heard of Dr. Woppel or the Hufeland Clinic until I saw your commentary. Dr. Douwes introduced this galvanotherapeutic technique after several of his associates interacted with the Chinese doctors who
were performing galvanotherapy for a wide variety of cancers. Douwes is the "pioneer" in this area as far as Germany is concerned, and he endured a lot of
harassment from his peers (he would not be subservient to the "dogma of the day") and he took some big risks to provide this technique for his patients. He was
truly "alone" and criticized for a long time with respect to his unique approach to galvanotherapy for cancer patients.
What the Hufeland Clinic is doing sounds very close to Douwes's approach. Douwes has achieved excellent results with cancer patients who are able to undergo
follow-up work. I looked up Hufeland Clinic on the internet and they do not
appear to provide the amount of information and statistical data on their approach and results that St. George Hospital puts out (type St. Georg Management System on your search engine). St. Georg puts their results "on the line" and they allow their results and techniques to be subject to scrutiny, just as the Chinese do.

Ann's NOTE: 12/11/00 Just spoke to Ralph Moss who tells me he has great respect for Dr.Douwes' work. See below:
"I have visited St. Georg clinic twice this year and think that, overall, it is an excellent facility."
