Information About Conservative Surgical Options From the book “Making The Right Choices”

A message from Dr. Richard A. Evans, MD

I know of no other site on the Internet which presents the clear and compelling evidence supporting limited (conservative ) surgery for patients with cancer in the early stages. Soon the references we quote will be directed linked to the National Library of Medicine. Those links can now be seen under: Treatment Options, Melanoma, References.

We have had a presence on the Internet for over three years, but this revision represents a major step forward. Over 30% of the book, Making the Right Choice: Treatment Options in Cancer Surgery, has been included in this site. Significant additions, such as a consultation service, are planned for the future.

This work has been supported by the Houston Educational Resource Network (HERN) and the M.D. Anderson Foundation. (This Foundation is not related to the hospital.)
