Walter Green

Annie Appleseed Project - Walter Green(Photo: With AAPR group in San Francisco)Walter R. Green is a Professional Engineer who has long had an interest in preventive medicine.

After being caregiver and advocate for his wife who could not overcome advanced colon cancer, his interest in health transformed into a passion for learning about cancer prevention and treatment and helping others.

He received his BE cum laude from Vanderbilt University and is a member of Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi and Past President of the Nashville Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. His career includes work in marine construction, structural engineering and environmental engineering (related to hazardous and toxic wastes) and self-employment in retail and wholesale sales.

He is employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Nashville, Tennessee as a project manager and planner working with government agencies on programs related to flood damage reduction, water supply, riverbank stabilization and other programs.
